Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Presales Consultant with deep expertise in Server, Storage, Networking, and Virtualization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with sales teams and OEM partners to design and present tailored IT infrastructure solutions to clients, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand complex customer IT infrastructure requirements and design optimum solutions involving hardware, software, and services.
- Provide technical expertise on Servers, Storage, Networking, and Virtualization.
- Participate in the development of bids, proposals, solution architecture, and presentations for enterprise IT solutions.
- Engage with OEMs like Dell, Hitachi, HPE, Aruba, Cisco, etc., to propose the most effective configurations and offerings.
- Deliver product demonstrations, proof of concept (POC) sessions, and articulate solution value to customers.
- Prepare detailed product specifications, solution design, and Bill of Materials (BoM).
- Support the sales team with competitive knowledge, value proposition, and technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain and manage a sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and ensure technical alignment with organizational goals.
- Act as a technical advisor and consultant to customers, providing ongoing solution support and identifying up-sell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Mentor junior team members and provide knowledge transfer to internal support teams.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Presales / Techno-Commercial roles in the IT infrastructure domain.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
- Certifications: Technical certifications on OEMs (e.g., Dell, HPE, Cisco, VMware, etc.) are an added advantage.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of Server, Storage, Networking products and enterprise architecture.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
- Ability to manage client discussions, deliver POCs, and interface with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet business objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the enterprise Server, Storage, and Networking domain.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and OEM partners such as HPE, DELL, Hitachi, Aruba, etc.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored IT infrastructure solutions.
- Prepare and deliver impactful client presentations, proposals, and technical demonstrations.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to close high-value deals.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to stay ahead of the curve.
- Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline reports, and forecasting metrics.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: MBA or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in sales/business development within the Server, Storage, or IT Infrastructure industry.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Server and Storage products, enterprise networking, and IT solutions.

- Lead Qualification & Pipeline Management:
- Ensure timely qualification of leads from BDE.
- Evaluate potential business opportunities and assign leads to team members.
- Track and optimize the sales funnel and conversion ratios.
- Team Management and Escalation Handling:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed targets.
- Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Handle client or operational escalations quickly, work with internal teams to fix issues, and ensure they are effectively resolved to avoid recurrence.
- OEM/Partner Connect:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM.

- Stay updated on OEM roadmaps and leverage them to generate new business.
- Business Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse sales performance, identify trends, and recommend strategies for growth.
- Provide accurate forecasts, dashboards, and business reports to VP.
- Use data insights to drive decision-making and improve processes.

- Take ownership of the overall team target.
- Strategize and implement plans to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
